Client with the Recruitment of a
North & West Team Leader to join their fun and friendly team, based at their HQ in
Service Support Centre - Boucher.
Grade - SO2 - £17.41 per hour.
MAIN PURPOSE
To be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Fleet & Engineering Workshop within Crescent Link, that services the vehicles and equipment provision for the North & West of the company
To contribute as an integral member of the Fleet & Engineering team to ensure the provision of a compliant fleet of vehicles and equipment to support the vision and mission of the company outlined below:
Summary of Responsibilities:
Vehicle/Equipment Management
- To be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Fleet & Engineering Workshop within Crescent Link, that services the vehicles and equipment provision for the North & West of the company.
- To ensure the planning and deployment of resources provides 24 hour availability of the vehicles & equipment Fleet.
- Manage a team of Vehicle, Equipment & Support Technicians to ensure the smooth running of the logistics supply chain for fleet & engineering.
- Responsible for the smooth running and management of the Crescent Link & Omagh workshops including the maintenance of all health & safety policies and procedures, buildings and equipment contained within.
- To implement a system of preventative maintenance on all vehicles and equipment with the geographical area and ensuring that these systems remain fit for purpose.
- To manage, prioritise and allocate defects on vehicles and equipment to all repair locations and trades people as required. To follow up and ensure the repair has been implemented in the most efficient route possible according to priority.
- To assist in the development of modifications and introduction of new vehicles and equipment as required and provide technical support to the Fleet & Engineering Manager to assist in the implementation of any programmes.
- To allocate workloads and priorities to Vehicle, Equipment & Support Technicians to ensure a steady flow of work through the Workshop, thus maximising efficiency and minimising downtime.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
1. Possess a level 2 qualification in Vehicle Mechanic Studies and have at least two years' experience working in a mechanics role in Heavy Goods Vehicles
2. Have at least one years' experience of managing and leading a repair team within a large diverse* workshop environment.

3.
Can demonstrate:
(a) excellent planning and scheduling skills;
(b) excellent oral communication skills
(c) a strong customer focus.
5. Possess a current C Class driving licence.
Desirable:
- A level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanic Studies
Salary:
£17.40-£17.41 per hour
