JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a key role to support the delivery of Health and Safety Management, Facilities Management and Operations support.
The site's facilities are to be maintained to ensure facilities are fit for purpose and meet regulations, including health & safety requirements.
This is a direct supporting role, whereby any HSE and/or facilities improvement initiatives identified, are to be implemented in line with Operations Manager's requirements.
This role will include Operations support in terms of supplying information to numerous customers as and when required by the Operations Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- To assist the Operations Manager in site Health & Safety and Facilities to ensure continued site support.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that both the Health & Safety and Facility plans for the site are delivered within agreed timeframes with the support of the Group HSE & Facilities Co-Ordinator.
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities to ensure adherence to all safe working practises and procedures in accordance with required legislation and site guidance, maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
- Communicate with various internal and external customers in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Send First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's) to certain external customers.
- Assist in the solving of audit items contained in both internal and external audits.
- Take initiative in daily tasks, have a proactive attitude towards all aspects of the role.
- Work to drive continuous improvement and promote a positive attitude culture.
- To assist in delivering communication from Management to Shop Floor Personnel.
- Information gathering of data from various departments required for the implementation of the new ERP System.
- To ensure that the online training is taking place, monitoring those that are falling behind and providing feedback to the Operations Manager.
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the business
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in supporting Management tasks is advantageous but not essential.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise activities and workload, meeting the demands of the site.
- Team player with a strong work ethic who is selfmotivated and does not require micromanagement.
- This role will suit a person with a positive attitude that can show previous experience in perseverance through adversity.
- Excellent problemsolving capabilities.
- Previous experience in supporting the implementation of an ERP System is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office programs.
- Excellent organisation, communication and influencing skills, in person and in writing.
