Ideally we are looking for an experienced core | tube manufacturing line Machine Operator/Setter to help in our busy manufacturing department taking control and ownership of newly commissioned production lines.

The Role

Working in a friendly environment where teamwork and positivity are part of the company culture, the position will take full responsibility for a manufacturing line producing cardboard cores/tubes or edge boards.

The main areas will cover;

Presiding over the loading of paper coils onto the reel stands
Supervising product packing operations
Machine operation and settingup

Specific Responsibilities:

Follow all safety procedures
Oversee the loading of paper reels
Planning for, setting up and performing job changes to meet production plan
Operating and monitoring of process for optimised performance and quality
Effective utilisation to reduce waste and downtime
Conducting regular quality inspections
Maintaining a clean and tidy workstation
Overseeing the packing of finished product
Meeting Performance Targets
Meeting Quality Targets
Accurate Data Entry into MRP system
Training and Development meeting the training plan for the task

Schedule:
7am - 5:30pm, plus wk/end overtime as and when available

All statutory UK holidays, plus 20 days
