Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham has an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor.

Full Time Permanent Contract

39 hours per week.


Job location:
Llay, Wrexham, LL12 0PB.

Unionised site - works in partnership with Unite the Union.

To provide advice and support to the business, ensuring compliance in connection with HR Resourcing and Policy & Procedures.

Provide effective and up to date general and employee relations support/guidance across the local business, working with the UK HR Manager, HR Director Europe & Ops Team.

To work on HR change projects as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities

Employee Records & Documentation

Create all paperwork for local new starters, leavers.

Maintain up to date & accurate local records for all colleagues ensuring Legal Compliance

Keep electronic HR data files and spread sheets up to date and issue as appropriate. This will include EFACS, EIS and HRIS systems as required

Manage local Recruitment, starters and leavers Process.

Coaching & Advising

Support, advise and coach Managers to handle employee relations issues to successful conclusion.

Chair, lead or Note Take at Meetings as necessary.

Produce compliant letter of outcome for investigative and disciplinary meetings

Track, advise and Support Managers with performance and all Absence Management issues.

Track and advise Managers on probation period reviews.

Track, advise and coach Managers to implement of Appraisal/performance reviews.

Develop skills to deliver Management toolkit training sessions.

HR Metrics & Reporting


Complete HR Reporting Corporate and Local, including assisting the preparation of slides for monthly BU for HR Wrexham to present.

Provide accurate local MI as necessary, utilising data for other sources as necessary.

Communication

Keep notice boards up to date with Legal & relevant information (develop intranet)

Set up and share attendance at Union and Forum Meetings with Wrexham site HR team.

Recruitment


Share facilitation of inductions for local new starters, advise on and track that onboarding processes are in place for all new starters.

Seek to continuously improve the process.

Support site Operations Management with local manpower/resource planning

General

Maintain your own health and safety whilst at work escalating any problems to the HR Manager. Maintain office area to 6S requirements

Self Development

Undertake any reasonable tasks or projects as required in line with developing skills and increasing experience

Participate in HR team meetings

Keep up to date with current employment law and related employee relations issues

Position Requirements


Academic:

Minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above

CIPD LEVEL 3

Desirable - CIPD LEVEL 5


Experience:


2 + Years' experience in a generalist HR Advisor role with related knowledge and experience, including employee relations, trade unions (although not essential), performance management and multi-level employees.

Preferable that you have worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
