Description

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor for a national housing association, covering South Hertfordshire and North London. The role pays £57,062 per annum, and offers hybrid working, with the option to work a 9-day fortnight.

The role:

Provide surveying and technical support, contributing to the delivery of the Group's Asset Management Strategy
Deliver the Group's technical service, providing effective capital investment, cyclical, statutory maintenance services to time and budget, in line with the Group's capital programme and strategic objectives
Full contract administration responsibilities of a range of technical and complex major works projects; including preparing tender documentation, cost analysis and budgetary control, site management, supervising contractors, quality control and certification.

The person:

Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in a housing association, private practice, local authority, or similar.
Robust understanding of current health and safety legislation, CDM (including Principal Designer experience) and comprehensive knowledge of other building related statutory obligations.
Degree or HND in a construction related discipline or relevant experience
