JOB MISSION

Reporting to the Finance Director, the mission of this position is to lead all aspects of the EMEA accounting function.

Includes establishing appropriate financial controls to mitigate risk and maintain the accuracy of the financial results while complying with GAAP accounting principles.

DUTIES

• Ensure accurate internal and external reporting of financial transactions.
• Manage monthend close and financial reporting process including account and variance analysis and financial statement preparation.
• Managing and leading the Group Consolidation Financial Reporting for all three regions.
• Present analyses, forecasts, and concerns to executives.
• Oversee and provides support to agencies including outside accountants, auditors, bankers, vendors, tax authorities and insurance agencies.
• Analyze data for trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Continually strive to create efficient accounting processes using SAP Business One in collaboration with all internal departments.
• Effectively collaborate with international finance teams on global issues and worldwide finance initiatives.
• Liaise with operational teams to confirm accurate revenue recognition, and to optimize financial results.
• Support Business Unit General Managers on all financial topics.
• Manage cash.
• Lead operational improvement projects within the finance function.
• Other duties as directed by the FD.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a team accounting team members (AP/AR and Staff Accountant) including monitoring performance, hiring, training, and career development.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Working in an office environment, the noise level is light to moderate.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
Full-time position, working 40 hours a workweek.

May be required to work and answer calls in the evenings and on occasion, weekends.


TRAVEL
This position has limited travel requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or CPA is required.
• Experience with SAP is preferred, ideally with SAP Business One.
• 5+ years Accounting and or Finance experience is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and management skills.
• Experience in construction industry accounting desired.
