Due to continued growth and expansion, our prestigious clients are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join an expanding business, working as part of a growing team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Daily Tasks:


  • To be self motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • The Mechanical and Electrical assembly of packaged pump systems to company standards and specification
  • To maintain and improve, in conjunction with Production Manager, the efficient delivery of packaged pump systems to the customers
  • To take ownership and responsibility for the Quality of all assembly tasks carried out
  • To notify Production Manager of defective component parts at first sight
  • To ensure work area is organised, cleaned and tidy to the specification set by the company.
  • To Maintain at all times a clean and safe working environment that is free from any hazards
  • To be aware of and ensure at all times complete attention to both your own personal health and safety and that of your fellow employees
  • To ensure that any defects to equipment or tools are reported immediately to the Production Manager
  • To participate in any multiskilling programme in order to broaden both your own individual skills and experience and provide flexibility for assembly operations
  • To participate in multi skilling training programmes and attend training courses where necessary in order to fulfil the company development requirements.
  • To assist / carry out test procedures if deemed competent by the Production Manager

Admin Tasks:


  • Record productive and non productive time on weekly time sheets, to be handed to Production Manager at the end of each week.
  • Transfer productive time onto job sheet on completion of each task.
  • Update Progress board as each new task is begun
  • Amend Bills Of Materials if any unlisted materials are used
  • Maintain efficient operation of the " Faulty Goods Policy"
  • Maintain efficient operation of any " Kanban Policy"
  • To assist with permanent inventory control and yearly stock count.

Requirements:


  • You will have gained a minimum of 4 GCSE's grades A-C
  • Ideally you will have completed a relevant engineering city and Guilds or NVQ qualification / apprenticeship.
  • You will have experience of mechanical and or electrical assembly procedures within an industrial environment.

Hours of work:

Monday To Friday: 07:00 - 15:30


Pay Rate - £23,200.81 per year
