Welder and Metal Fabricator.40 hours per week (full-time 07:30 am start, with a half day on Fridays)
Company location - Barton Hill Way, Torquay. TQ12 8JG
£ £15.00 / hour - negotiable depending on your skills, overtime pay is also available during busy periods.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic & positive person to join our welding and fabrication team. We have a great team and work in a clean and safe environment.
You must have experience in MIG welding and metal fabrication to agreed high standards, following basic engineering drawings in various standard materials.
Mostly light gauge welding 1.5mm to 6mm thick mild steel, in batch production runs of parts, changing to different jobs each week.
The use of MIG and ideally TIG welding equipment and techniques (you will be tested on this during your interview).
With TIG there is the opportunity to learn and train within our team, a good attitude and willingness to learn is important.
As well as welding skills you will need to have a good eye for detail and be able to adapt and promote good health and safety standards, work independently and as part of a small team.
The use of manual Lathe and Milling machines, press brakes and other older traditional methods are still used here. You will be trained & helped where needed.
