Account Handler - Commercial Insurance

Salary £28,000 to £35,000

Dorest - Hybrid working available

My client is a large Independent Commercial Insurance Broker who is looking for an Account Handler to add to their office based in Dorest.

Job Specification

Provide professional insurance advice to customers, focusing on general commercial insurance with a focus on motor trade
Liaise with Clients, Insurers, internal colleagues, and others where appropriate in relation to commercial insurance business
Assist Account Executives where necessary
Work closely with colleagues and other areas of the business
Discuss and agree appropriate markets to be approached for terms to meet client requirements
Organise and manage own time in accordance with procedures to meet client requirements and time scales of the Leeds office
Consistent high level of quality required, with major peaks of pressure and the need to adhere to minimum performance targets

Personal Specification

Appropriate experience of commercial combined insurance and motor fleet insurance
Knowledge of a variety of cover placement procedures, methods and techniques required
Knowledge of the appropriate classes of business with reference to appropriate experts when the cover falls outside their own experience
A thorough understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines as applied to the type of client being dealt with
Knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles
Knowledge of the insurance markets availablie
