GBP37,000 - GBP40,000 a year

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.

Purpose of the Gas Engineer:


As a Gas Engineer you will undertake all aspects of central heating and gas work including new installations, fault finding, repairs, servicing, commissioning and remedial works and any additional works that may be required to affect a first-time-fix repairin its entirety.

You will do this in accordance with all appropriate legislation, best technical practice, work specifications and the priorities set out by the organisation.


Responsibilities of the Gas Engineer:

  • Carry out all types of central heating and gas works including plumbing, piping, ducting and wet water works, fault finding, commissioning in their repair, renewal, refurbishment and new installation work both internally and externally, using a range of differentmaterials and products which are suitable for the works in hand.
  • Adapt trade skills to use and install new /innovative products and materials.
  • Correctly complete all documentation as required and provide or input all information associated with the duties undertaken.
  • Drive company vehicles in a safe, careful and professional manner and in accordance with appropriate policies.
  • Work as part of my team in a professional, efficient and flexible manner that meets the needs of the organisation and tenant requirements.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and diversify my skills and abilities to support firsttimefix for Phoenix residents wherever possible.
  • Be available for callout rotors and flexible working schedules to accommodate the service hours of operation when necessary.

Requirements of the Gas Engineer:

  • Must be ACS Accredited (CCN1, FGA1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
  • Proven experience in undertaking and delivering a highquality maintenance, repair, renewal and refurbishment of construction works.
  • Experience of working in tenanted properties
  • Good communication skills, this role interacts with tenants and other team members.
  • Knowledge of Housing Associations and local housing authorities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
