We are looking for a Personal Assistant that is:

  • Has experience of working with children
  • Vibrant and energetic with an interest in gaming and computers
  • Empathetic and caring, with a genuine passion for professional delivery and wanting to make a positive impact on the life of someone who requires support in their home
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to confidently and clearly understand and undertake a care plan and communicate well with the surrounding team and parents
  • A professional person with experience as a livein carer/personal assistant or the ability and desire to learn the role
  • Excited about working with children and families with a desire to go above and beyond
  • Organised and happy managing diaries
  • A confident driver
  • Happy to provide support in a school as well as at home
  • Has a strong focus on a person's independence and knows when stand in the wings
  • Happy to provide personal complex care as well as social and domestic cuties to support family life
  • It would be desirable if you had experience in spinal injuries but full training can be provided

What we provide

  • Our weekly personal assistant/carer wages are £1,200 £1,300 a week depending on experience.
  • Genuine appreciation and care for our staff with specialist training to maintain our high standards
  • We provide free training and enhanced DBS checks
  • Staff are offered the full support of our inhouse clinical lead nurse both before and during placements, including inperson inductions at the start of a new placement
  • We offer long term placements that are flexible with your schedule and holidays
  • We provide holiday and pension pay
  • We offer a food allowance
  • We are available On Call 24/7 in emergencies to assist you on placement

What we need from you

  • Due to high demand, we require all our carers to complete our screening process including:
  • Submitting a short "about me video" for the client to review and shortlist
  • An initial call with Leila our registered manager
  • A video interview with our registered manager and the client
  • Ability to complete the HLG Complex Care Ltd training and onboarding process
  • The right to work in the UK
  • A clear, enhanced DBS and references. If you do not have a DBS we can run one for you free of charge.
  • A desire to continually improve as a PA/carer, completing a 1 on 1 session with our inhouse clinical lead nurse regularly

  • Livein at the child's home

Shift:


  • 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
