AEO certified as a customs agent in both the UK and France.

Due to an increase in demand for our services, are looking for an additional
Customs Agent to join our established customs team.

To reward this, you will receive a salary above the industry average and a range of company benefits including:

a monthly profit share bonus (~10% of annual salary,) company pension, free eye tests and monthly winter energy assistance payments (£200/month October to March.)

Customs Clearance (import or export), then we want to hear from you.

Please note this position has a rotating shift pattern:

Monday - Friday, Week 1: 07:00 - 16:00, week 2: 08:30 - 17:30, week 3: 10:00 - 19:00.

Main duties:

Coordinating Import and Export
Conforming to HM Revenue & Customs regulations
Ensuring all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled
Liaising with, customers, suppliers, necessary agents, and customs authorities
Raising necessary paperwork concerning all movements of Dangerous Goods

Skills required for this role:

Essential:

At least 1 years' experience working in Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance
Understanding of UK & EU imports customs requirements

Desirable:

Experience using Customs systems (e.g. CDS, CNS, Destin 8, Sequoia)
Proven ability to deal with customs procedure codes and specialist customs procedures, including CFSP and Transit
Institute of Export "Level 4 Customs Practitioner Award" or equivalent
Experience in road transport, logistics or haulage
