About the role

Hours:
Full or part time considered. Applicants currently studying towards, or looking to study, a finance related qualification will be allowed study leave.


Salary:
Starting salary £20k-£25k depending on experience/study leave (pro rata for part time)


Working closely with the Finance Director & Head of Finance, the Junior Finance Administrator will provide administration support for the Finance department.

You will support us in ensuring the Company is adhering to its finance policies and procedures and ensure all documentation (internal and legally required) is up to date and accurate so finance operations run smoothly.


Our offices are in a remote location with no public transport routes nearby, therefore it is preferable that applicants hold a current driving licence and their own means of transport.


Your duties will include:

This role will grow as you progress through your training but to begin with your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing employee expenses, ensuring compliance with the company policy
  • Company credit card reconciliations & compliance
  • Handle perdiem allowances, running money and or other smaller office expenses
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing of supplier invoicing on QuickBooks and managing approvals through lightyear, in addition to other accounts payable administration
  • Liaise with internal finance team and department heads to resolve any discrepancies
  • Proactively resolving any queries
  • Weekly payment runs via BACS
  • General finance administration

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will be enthusiastic and happy to learn
  • Be consistent and accurate and have an eye for detail
  • Be committed to following careful procedures to protect the sensitive personal data involved in this role
  • Learn quickly, be adaptable, flexible and able to work in the everchanging context of a growing organisation

Experience & Qualifications

  • Have a proven track record in administration in Finance
  • Have excellent numerical skills and good knowledge of Excel and Word
We actively encourage ongoing skills development and will support with both on and offsite training courses and qualifications. Paid studies and study leave will be considered in this post.
