Claims Advisor/Senior Claims Advisor (Construction) - Marsh - Norwich/Nationwide

We are currently looking for either a Claims Advisor or Senior Claims Advisor, to ideally work with our Construction team in Norwich, although any UK locations with a Marsh office would also be considered (Birmingham/London/Leeds/Exeter/Manchester/Reading/Newcastle etc.).

Please note:
a Hybrid working pattern will also be available, with a combination of both homeworking and office work.

The role:
Claims Advisor - Construction

Marsh's Construction Claims team cover a range of areas within the Construction Industry.
Our teams of Claims Advisors work on large, complex, global insurance contracts, involving multiple insurers and high value insurance placements. You will gain excellent exposure to the commercial insurance industry and thrive on working autonomously to deliver outstanding levels of service, whilst developing expertise within your field.

We will rely on you to:

Negotiate with Insurers/suppliers to achieve the most beneficial, cost effective settlement for Clients
Review and interpret policy wordings to obtain the best claims settlements for Clients
Meet agreed standards of accuracy, service, work volumes, and other performance targets in line with bespoke Client SLA's
Handle and case manage claims and contribute to the satisfactory resolution of complex and/or contentious issues.

What you need to have:

Strong attention to detail with a methodical and conscientious approach.
Time management and organisational skills.
Quick to take onboard new information which is technical in nature.
Analytically minded with the ability to resolve complex queries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good numeracy skills.
Able to promote continuous improvement and respond positively to change.

What makes you stand out:

Previous claims handling/insurance experience, with either an Insurer, Broker or within London markets
CII qualifications or a willingness to study for and obtain
A genuine keenness to build a career within the insurance industry
