Retail Contracts Manager
Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, looking to Grow with Gatwick?
The Retail Department at Gatwick Airport is responsible for all the shops and restaurants that trade within the airport. This includes deciding which new brands come into the airport, planning their logistics and training, monitoring their financial performanceand ensuring they are all offering a great passenger experience


What is the role?


Gatwick Airport is changing at an outstanding pace and this is an exciting opportunity for a Retail Contracts Manager to be part of a high performing team delivering commercial revenue.


The Retail Contracts Manager will mitigate risk through effective use of controls and clauses but be able to negotiate win-win contracts that deliver retail/ F&B revenue to the value of £150M+ annually.


As Retail Contracts Manager you will have experience of revenue generation contracts and an understanding of the various parameters to model scenarios aligned to risk and reward.

A general knowledge of market economics and dynamics in order to negotiateon account and contract management is required.


What will you do?

  • Deliver income and IPP targets via contract management and negotiation with Operators' Senior Management.
  • Delivers category strategy and inputs into broader retail category strategy.
  • Demonstrable shift in business model, or change in the way a contract is operated to reduce risk or drive additional benefit
  • Deliver financial modelling and analysis of proposals showing options, and assessment of risk.
  • Supports retail operations team in delivery of sales and SPP targets via sustainable financial contract terms via account management
  • Delivers new business and income streams through business development and special projects.
  • Supports the Senior Contract Manager in the preparation of approval papers for Board review as part of the negotiation matrix.

Do you have what we are looking for?

  • Understanding of contractual terms and conditions and the implication should these change.
  • The ability to prepare financial models demonstrating the contract implications and quantifying the benefits and risks associated with various options.
  • The ability to prepare Board Papers with a contractual award recommendation, including financial and technical pros and cons, options and selling the recommendation.
  • Relationship and account management experience and understanding.
  • The ability to negotiate with C-Suite management level and support
  • Proven business acumen
  • Good understanding of mathematical and financial reports
  • Good oral and written communication skills
