The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health.

Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.


We seek a qualitative researcher to assist in qualitative longitudinal research in a participatory approach with young people affected by Long Covid in the UK.

The postholder will have experience in qualitative methods, and ideally some experience in coproducing participatory research with young people.

In collaboration with co-Investigators, community and patient-led agencies, health service providers, and young people, the postholder will assist in the day-to-day implementation of the project, including supporting fieldworkers, generating qualitative data, and overseeing project social media communications.

A relevant first degree in the field of sociology, anthropology, science and technology studies, youth studies, and/or public health is an essential requirement.

The post is part time 17.5 hours per week, 0.5 FTE and fixed term until for 14 months from start date.

The post is funded by National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is available from 1 May 2023.
