JOB TITLE:
Pharmacy Delivery Driver

REPORTS TO:
Pharmacy Manager

LOCATION:
Giles Pharmacy Worcester

JOB PURPOSE

The Driver will drive the company vehicle(s) to deliver medication to patients of the Pharmacy and collect prescriptions from local GP surgeries where required.
The service must be carried out in accordance with professional codes of conduct and company standard operating procedures.
The vehicle(s) must be maintained and operated in line with company policy and the law.
The Driver is responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle and its contents whilst it is under their care.
Represents the organisation when required at appropriate local, regional and national training groups.
Will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication- To work with the Pharmacy members to ensure that logístical issues are managed, maintaining an effective and efficient service throughout the day

To report promptly any accidents, incidents or losses whether or not a third party is involved.
Establishing and maintaining good internal relationships with patients, their representatives.
Establishing and maintaining good external relationships with GPs, clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and other health care staff, practice management, GP staff and secondary care trusts, local professional groups, care homes and care organisations.
Accept queries relating to patient's medication and refer on to qualified staff.

Applicants must have clean, valid driving license.
