Description

We need a Container Fitter for a company who specialise in modular unit conversions in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

You will be primarily based in the company's workshop, undertaking all aspects of finishing off the units before they are sent out to the customer.

This is a multi-skilled role offering a range of different daily duties meaning no 2 days will ever be the same.

Ideally you will come from a construction background, ideally having a basic understanding of various building disciplines such as a carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering etc.

Fitter duties:
-

Lining out of containers / portable buildings
Constructing the timber frames & insulation
1st & 2nd fix carpentry
Basic electrics (not essential)
Basic plumbing (not essential)
Fitting any doors, walls, windows & any built in furniture
Working with various materials such as wood, metal, plastics, various forms of têxtiles

Previous successful applicants have come from a construction background & have worked as either carpenter, dry liners, coach builders, container technicians, fitters etc.

The core working hours are 07:30-16:30, Monday-Friday.

The company are based in the countryside so you will need your own form of transportation to get there.
