Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work throughout both Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful school and play a significant role in developing thelearning of the pupils.


The ability to drive will be essential for this position.

Pay:
£ £66.30 per day (dependent on hours worked)


Location:
Ebbw Vale


Hours: 08:30-15:30


Duration:
Full Time (Monday - Friday)

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the children across the curriculum in particular Literacy and Numeracy
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in all activities led by the class teacher.
  • Deliver tailored learning activities prepared by the class teacher.
  • Build team commitment with the pupils and staff.
  • Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Positive, patient and energetic
  • Takes the handson approach and is always ready to support the class teacher.
  • Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
  • Experience in working with children but does not necessarily have to be classroom based.
  • Have a passion for engaging students and watching them develop into lifelong learners, always going the extra mile to create a fun and positive learning environment.
Person Specification (Essential)

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Hold a DBS which is registered on the update service, however full assistance provided if not registered.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales)
  • Full assistance provided if not registered.
  • Provide at least two professional references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
