RAFATRAD - Events Officer
£12.65 per hour 20 hours per week
Based in Leicester LE3 1UT
Required to drive RAFATRAD vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes
RAFATRAD Ltd is a wholly owned trading subsidiary of the RAF Association, and all profits are covenanted back to the charity where we have a clear objective: to help sustain a resilient and empowered RAF community, including serving personnel, RAF veterans and their families.
Through our sector leading services, we offer friendship to the isolated and lonely, sheltered housing for those who want to remain proudly independent and childcare to serving personnel on RAF stations.
We work together to make sure no one is ever left behind.
The Events Officer is responsible for RAFATRAD's day-to-day events organisation activities including assisting with the execution of the planned events calendar, coordinating logístical arrangements, travel, accommodation and administrative requirements whilst also ensuring the equipment inventory is up to date.
Responsibilities include;
- Arrange accommodation and travel arrangements for the events team casual crew.
- Maintain and analyse data (such as sales, costs and stock usage) to facilitate effective planning, proactively seeking out ways of improving data capture and usage.
- Maintain awareness of market trends in airshow retail, understanding customer needs and monitoring competitors.
- Updating all events admin material including risk assessments, vehicle logs, packup materials and price lists.
- Cash handling pre and postshow, liaising regularly with our finance team to organise floats and cashcounting.
- Manage and grow RAFATRAD's shop in a box facility alongside the Community Fundraising team.
- Attend a small number of events throughout the season (dates are flexible).
- Organise all event team meetings throughout the year.
- Ensure all casual crews online training for first aid and vehicle driving is up to date.
- Liaise with the social media team, including obtaining event photographs and details for regular posts.
