SENIOR BUYER - AEROSPACE - ESSEX - HYBRID WORKING - £38-45K BASIC + 35% BONUS + CIPS SPONSORSHIP + PACKAGE

Pod Talent are excited to partner with a leading global aerospace business to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team of 12.

As a result of a company wide expansion and the implementation of a global initiative, the senior buyer will be joining a roleresponsible for procurement activities in the UK and Canada, managing a team of 4 buyers to deliver signifcant cost savings and generate value across the group.

This role is available due to an internal promotion, within the business there is a huge emphasis on learning and development and career advancement, with clear structures and paths in place to that you can progress to Procurement Manager level within 24months.

The Senior buyer will not only be spearheading the development of a newly created team, but they will have full autonomy over procurement in their regions

They will also be:

Tasked with procuring goods and materials to ensure that the companys operational needs are met, considering the price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to deliver business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
Assess and evalulate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
Working collaboratively and negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives and advise on impact of change on procurement and production activities.
