Workshop Controller


Location:
Bristol


Salary:
£30,000 basic with a £36,000 OTE


Hours:
Mon - Fri 08:00 - 18:00


Saturday's Rota'd: 08:30 - 13:00

About your new position:
You will have previous experience in a similar role and strong teamwork skills.

A large part of the Workshop controller position involves:

  • Day-to-day running of the workshop, allocating work, motivating and supervising the team in the workshop and for ensuring safety, standards & efficiency by the technicians each day.
  • Carry out regular reviews to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify
  • Manage the performance of the department
  • Manage and plan workshop & resources to ensure that work can be completed as per schedule
  • Support the sales team to ensure cars (presale) are ready for handover
  • Hold daily production meetings to Plan workload and resources,
  • Anticipate production problems based on forward plan / resources and provide support to handle workload
  • Monitor staff performance versus standard role requirements and personal objectives and identify areas for development & training
You will need a few things before joining this great team;

  • NVQ
  • Motor trade
  • Previous experience in similar role & proven track record
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team working & leadership skills
