IT Security Analyst

Up to £45,000 + Vehicle + Benefits

Warrington, North West (Hybrid)


An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of Europe's leading multi-disciplined organisations, who are globally recognised and employ over 3000 staff across the UK and afar.

This well-established company have seen tremendous year-on-year growth and dueto continued success, are looking to recruit an ambitious IT Security Analyst to join their team.


To be successful, the IT Security Analyst will ideally be skilled in all of the following: WAN/LAN Data Networks, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Desktop, Windows Servers , Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Microsoft 365, AWS, Security Engineering,SIEM & MITRE ATT&CK.


As an IT Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, monitoring and managing security standards and processes to improve cyber resilience of cloud based and on-premises systems
  • Using SIEM and UEBA tools to track and analyse any potential cyber threats
  • Performing security and risk analysis to pinpoint vulnerabilities
  • Presenting improvement strategies to clients to improve network & server hardening
  • Updating security systems regularly to avoid any potential cyberattacks
  • Performing security audits

The successful IT Security Analyst will have the following:

  • A minimum of two years' experience working within a Cyber Security Analyst/Network Security Analyst role
  • Ideally GICSP or CISSP qualified
  • Proven experience with Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing & Generating Reports
  • Understanding of security assessment processes and industry compliance standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 etc
  • Experience in Security Engineering
  • Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
  • The ability to interpret technical data to nontechnical staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Full UK driving license with a flexible approach to travel (international travel may be required on rare occasions)
