Description

Duties to include:


  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices and accounts payable and receivable
  • Checking and completing purchase orders
  • Preparing and presenting to The Financial Director proposed supplier payment schedules
  • Processing the approved supplier payments
  • Dealing with supplier payment queries
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Completing bank reconciliations (GB£ and US$ accounts)
  • Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Processing business expenses
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Managing daytoday transactions
  • Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
  • Assisting the Finance Director with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
  • Assisting the Finance Director with the preparation of the Monthly Management Accounts
  • Assisting the Finance Director with the year end audit
  • Posting daily receipts
  • Completing the yearend analysis
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
  • Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source
  • Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods
  • Assisting with financial queries from members of other departments

Skills

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the monthend/year end close process
  • Experience in a multicurrency environment and foreign transactions
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
