Active Recruitment are currently working closely with a Mainstream Secondary School in Redbridge, who are seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join them as soon as possible on full-time, a temp to perm basis.

In this position you will be responsible for theprogress of pupils aged 11-16 where both behaviour and attendance has been a cause for concern.

You will be working closely with the Inclusion team in carrying out intervention sessions with pupils both 1:1 and on a group basis.

The role:

You will be providing specialist support to pupils in both key stage 3 and 4 and assisting with the provision of support for individual students with social emotional behaviour difficulties, helping them overcome barriers to learning inside and outside of school,in order to achieve their potential.

The Behaviour Specialist will work with children on a one-to-one basis or in small or large groups. You will be reporting the schools SENCO/ Inclusion Lead providing detailed daily feedback and learning progress reports.

Requirements:

Available to commit to a fulltime, longterm position
Previous experience inspiring and motivating pupils who display challenging behaviour
Secondary aged support experience (not necessarily within a school)
Calm, patient and caring approach to working with children
Confident in your approach and able to deliver effective interventions
