JOB OPPORTUNITY - Personal Assistant(s) (female preferred)

Female P A / Support worker or workers required to assist a lady with a variety of tasks which will support her to live an independent personal and social lifestyle.

Area :
Helston/Lizard

Pay :
£10.50 per hour

16 hours per week available with flexibility to increase to 21 if needed, days and times to be mutually agreed

Holiday pay and pension scheme available.

POSSIBLE JOBSHARE

MAIN DUTIES:

**DOMESTIC : to include:

- *

Keeping house clean, tidy, organised.
Laundry
Shopping

- meal planning, preparation and batch cooking
- bed changing
- assist with gardening
- any other reasonable duties that may be required.

PERSONAL:

Some assistance with showering/hairwashing and dressing may be required.

**SOCIAL : to include:

-**:

Taking lady to appointments

- social and community events
- shopping
- swimming
- walks with small family dog (lady would use an electric wheelchair or a mobility scooter)
- generally helping the lady get out of the house as often as possible.
- any other reasonable duties that may be required.

**Essential:
- *

RELIABILITY, HONESTY and CONFIDENTIALITY is paramount at ALL times.
DBS check, cost met by employer.

- employment references required.
- must have good communication skills.
- full UK driving licence, appropriate insurance and own car.

Be able to take and follow instruction and confident in asking for help if unsure.

- employee must be willing to train for relevant skills where necessary.

**Desirable but not essential as training may be available at the cost of the employer: - **- preferably an NVQ in Health and Social Care or the equivalent.
- competence in the day to day running of a family home.
- some knowledge of M.E./CFS and Fibromyalgia

Some experience in a caring role.
Food hygiene certificate.

- computer literate.

Manual Handling.
First aid.
