About this Infrastructure Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer/3rd Line Support Analyst/VMWare role:

The firm are on a technology transformation journey, the new Infrastructure Manager is growing his team to 3 people and wants personality above and beyond skills, he is looking for someone friendly, proactive and with a really collaborative nature as theteam are gelling really well and he does not want to spoil this.

The role will be 40% Support and 60% projects with a wide range of projects lined up:

  • Move to Azure (will still retain physical infrastructure)
  • Move to SharePoint online
  • Phones to Teams
  • Security Patching


The new manager is putting in place a more structured project and change approach, he wants someone experienced in infrastructure projects whom they can allocated projects to and give complete autonomy and ownership.

His whole management style will be verymature and hands off.

Technologies currently used heavily in the team are:

  • VMWare


  • O36

  • Active Directory
  • Palo Alto
  • Cisco Switches
The firm offer training into anything you do not have and also will offer training into new areas as they approach them such as Azure training

Who can be considered for this Infrastructure Analyst/Infrastructure Engineer/3rd Line Support Analyst/VMWare


We are looking for someone with 4+ Years experience in an SME infrastructure team, working with VMWare, Active Directory who would also like to gain Azure exposure.

The person will need to hit the ground running - and able to spin a Server in VMware
Desirable but not essential would be: PowerShell and any Azure knowledge/experience
