The Role


The Senior Test Manager is accountable for the leadership, management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of testing across the Technology change function(s).


  • Direct the development of test strategy, methodology, discipline, tools, and frameworks, in collaboration with other areas of Technology including Product & Operations.
  • Driving and improving the test team in areas of automated and agile testing.
  • Accountable for ensuring Portfolio level risks are identified and mitigated
  • Accountable for optimal resource planning across Test through alignment between existing resource plans, estimated demand, skills, initiative budgets, individual development plans and strategic planning for capability improvements


Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities.

This role is a CUK06 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis with at least two days each week based in our Southamptonoffice.

Alongside bringing these to the role, you'll also need:


  • Demonstrable experience in managing Test activities within large, complex portfolios of delivery that include an IT component
  • The ability to identify and action a short and long term strategy for testing which satisfies business needs.
  • Be able to effectively support and provide technical expertise to senior leadership within Test Automation, Functional and non functional testing, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques
  • Experience of line/team management
  • Experience of managing vendors on and offshore.
  • Be able to effectively influence senior stakeholders
  • Have a pragmatic view of testing always looking looking for efficiencies, savings and leaner test estimates.
  • Experience in resourcing and succession planning
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
