A vacancy has arisen for a part time adaptable Senior Hospital Administrator to work as part of a jobshare at St Barnabas Community Hospital.

The post holder will work flexibly across all areas of hospital admin routinely at the needs of the service. Priorities may change throughout the day and ability to adapt and enjoy variety is key.


The post is 19 hours per week supporting the hospital to provide administrative cover Monday and Tuesday 9.00 to 17.00 and Wednesday 09.00 to 13.00,.

On occasion there may be a requirement for the postholder to be flexible at times to cover sickness or annual leave of jobs share colleague.


The role encompasses managing the main reception, prepping for clinics, typing for clinics (both in house and ENT and Vascular clinics) and managing the site outpatient clinic rooms and schedules.

Additional areas include managing other room bookings, liaising with estates contractors and site estates admin duties, petty cash and ordering stationery as directed.

Small level of filing in maintaining hospital folders relating to security/fire/health and safety and COSHH as directed by the Business Support Supervisor in conjunction with the Matron.
