Salary - £23,241 - £25,227 (Depending on qualifications held) + 2% area weighting

Hours - 40 hours per week

What will I be doing as a Schools Programme Tutor?

A Schools Programme Tutor plays a critical role in supporting students' academic, personal and professional development through on an ongoing basis.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Deliver training and support to a small cohort of 14+ year olds on Nacro's School's and Study Programme.
Conduct initial assessments for all learners enrolled onto Nacro Education programmes ensuring the needs of learners are met.
Develop appropriate learning resources, facilities, and environment to support high quality teaching and learning.
Assist in the delivery of all accredited and nonaccredited qualifications and support the practical and theoretical elements of the courses offered through the Study Programme.
Regularly review and monitor the attendance and progress of learners and follow up as required to ensure learners achieve their targets.
Requirements for this role
Teaching qualification CET equivalent or above. However, we can offer support to complete a teaching qualification during the probation period.
Level 2 English and Maths or above
IQA/Assessor qualification is desirable.
A DBS check is essential.

We are looking for the following skills/attribute:

Ability to engage with learners from different age groups.
Excellent organisational and planning skills ability to deal with conflicting priorities.
Ability to work as part of a wider team.
Communicating to a high standard at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Calm and objective when facing problems including dealing with challenging behaviour from learners.
Previous teaching or learning support experience within an education setting is advantageous.

Salary:
