An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our company as a self-employed Companion that will provide a high standard of domiciliary care in the Doddington area.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person that has an empathetic and genuine caring nature.

We aim to assist people so that they can remain independent and obtain a good quality of life for as long as possible within their own homes.

We do not provide personal care.


Duties and responsibilities


Providing meal preparation and making the bed assistance for an elderly lady who has had a stroke in the Doddington, Cambridgeshire area.

Visits at for 3 evenings midweek (one being Monday) AND on Saturdays and Sundays.


Essential criteria:


  • Good communication skills
    . The ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
  • To be honest, reliable, punctual and adaptable to meet the service users needs
  • Caring and empathetic having a genuine interest in people
  • A willingness to learn and expand your knowledge base and skill set with our inhouse training programme
  • Common sense and the ability to remain calm and use problem solving skills if conditions or situations change
  • Ability to drive with a car, a driving licence and business car insurance

Desired criteria

  • Experience and qualifications in adult social care
    .

Benefits
Travel expenses for mileage incurred when working with a service user.

£ per hour

£11.44-£14.00 per hour
