Part time - 18 hours per week £11.49- £13.00 per hour

As a Housing Officer what does the role entail:

Your day will consist of

  • Completing housing management admin and reception duties to ensure smooth running of the service.
  • Maintaining accurate records using our Housing Management system and residents rent accounts and arrears.
  • Managing Housing Benefit communication and schedules.
  • Carrying out necessary audits and responsibilities to ensure Health and Safety requirements of the building are met.
  • Communicating efficiently in regards to maintenance ensuring the building is maintained to a high standard.
  • Following procedures void management.
  • Managing the security of the building when lone working
  • To assist manager with applicants to the scheme.
  • Staying informed about the current residents, needs and risks.
  • Having an awareness of residents progress within their support plan.
  • Following safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure residents safety.
  • You may also be required to assist support workers with various duties.

This job is for you, if

  • You have experience working with vulnerable young people preferably within a Supported Housing Setting
  • Fully I.T literate in all Microsoft Packages and confident in using a Housing Management System.
  • Strong Communication and relationship building skills.
  • Willingness to adopt a trauma informed approach/environment.
  • You are a resilient and confident team worker who can work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.
  • You can work unsociable hours, including evenings.
Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
