This opportunity would suit a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can perform the role with little supervision and self-task.

You will need to manage time efficiently, work well under pressure and deal with conflicting demands.

Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential with the ability to communicate information effectively at strategic and tactical levels, producing top quality reports.

As a Field Intel and Operations officer, you will be working closely with local, regional and national partner agencies.

You will develop and maintain professional relationships in order to maximize the exchange of information and intelligence, responding to threat and risk.

You will therefore need to demonstrate excellent professional and collaborative abilities.


You will be required to proactively gather and submit intelligence from communities to enhance the wider CT intelligence picture in line with the CTPSE and Kent Control Strategy.

A good knowledge and understanding of the collection, assessment and management of intelligence is essential along with knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Regulation of Investigative Powers Act, 2000 (RIPA), Management of Police Information (MOPI) and Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act, 1996 (CPIA).


The successful applicant will be required to assist UK Police forces in the planning, intelligence development and attendance (as necessary) of Counter Terrorism impacted events and operations, providing operational resilience to spontaneous, critical and major incidents.


Part of the role will be to plan and administer lifestyle management operations around those individuals with relevant Counter Terrorism risk and employ relevant operational security processes.

This post requires frequent access to the most sensitive intelligence and material. The post holder must have a high level of personal integrity and professionalism. The applicant should be aware that this role may expose them to violent, disturbing or extreme material.

There is a requirement to form part of a shift pattern covering evenings and weekends. There is also a requirement to perform an evening/overnight on-call function as part of a rota.
