  • 37.5 hours per week (between the hours of 8:30am5:30pm)

TC provides a wide range of office seating, desking, storage, conference and training furniture, exclusively through the trade, to clients across the UK and Europe.


Working in support of the Product Development and VOW Channel Director the Group Merchandiser will help develop existing supplier relationships, marketing initiatives, product & data development, and customer relations.


Main Duties:


  • Work with VCD to plot a clear product development path from gap analysis, product identification, product data considering specification and supply chain.
  • Sourcing new products and resourcing existing products.
  • Managing the product selection processes for sourcing to releasing new products into the market. This will include company catalogues, catalogue paginations, sourcing and specifying new product samples, arranging customer viewings & photography, providing technical specifications for customer documentation, overseeing amends to specification, negotiating prices, and ensuring production is in accordance with the specification.
  • Completing product upload documentation to TC and its customers ERP systems (EPC sheets).
  • Help provide all relevant information and product content for the Supply chain and Digital team.
  • Assist with proofing of catalogue pages and other marketing collateral content.
  • Undertake supplier/factory visits, attend relevant trade shows, and seek knowledge from internal & external customer relationships
  • Some foreign travel required.
  • Create reports and analysis as and when required or requested.
  • Develop relationships with key customers and assist them where required.
  • Work on projects such as Roadshow organisation, showroom bookings and valueadded services progress.
  • Attend trade shows on behalf of key customers as needed (some weekend/out of hours work may be necessary).
  • Liaise with VCD on ongoing marketing initiatives and support where required.
  • Help maintain any customer or TC portals with current data.
  • Attend key contract meetings when requested.
  • Work with VCD and Marketing team to ensure technical and photographic input is relayed quickly and efficiently to catalogue production team.
  • Liaise with Customer Services and feedback on product and supplier issues.

General

  • To represent the Company in a professional and considerate manner
  • To perform tasks outside of usual practises as requested by Manager
  • Overseas travel

Skill and Experience:


  • A recognized degree level qualification or experience in Merchandising is preferred but not essential to this role.
  • Strong IT skills to be able to create and analyse reports preferably Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work as both part of a small team, and individually when required.
  • Willingness to learn and retain information training will be required.
