Summary

The Governors of Sandylands CP School would like to appoint an experienced, dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to work in our school.

The role will involve working with individuals and groups in adult led activities and learning programmes to enable the children to achieve their very best.

The successful applicant will:
- join a team of hard working and compassionate professionals
work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver high quality learning experiences for the children.
be confident, sensitive, reliable and enthusiastic
be able to communicate effectively with children and parents

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 2 or above qualification - appropriate to the post or equivalent

Essential Experience

Competent in supporting English and Maths up to Year 6.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Commitment to safe guarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people

Good communication skills

Ability to supervise and assist pupils

Flexible attitude to work

Desirable Experience

Experience of working in a relevant classroom/service environment.

Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour

Knowledge of EYFS to Year 6
