Description

The Trust is here to make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and families, and you have the opportunity to help share with staff and the wider world how we are making this difference day in day out.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed on merit.

We actively deliver services that are culturally responsive to the needs of the children, parents and carers we work with to deliver equality, diversity and inclusivity in all we do.

We are looking for a permanent full-time Web and Social Media Officer to help showcase the outstanding work and services delivered by our staff at the Trust.

We have just under 2,000 staff, and we need your support to help share their successes as well as their plans for the future, including the launching of innovative work and engagement of partners from all sectors.

The person we are looking for is a skilled and creative copywriter with a sharp eye for accuracy and the ability to adapt communication activity to different target audiences.

You will be confident in talking with and working with staff from across the organisation, and on occasion with children and young people and members of the public or wider stakeholders.

This will include representing the Trust at internal and external events such as recruitment events and conferences.

You will be able to take complex information and turn it into plain English, as well as use your research skills and creative writing ability to produce copy for news articles, information pages for the Trust website and staff intranet.

You must have previous web content writing and web page building experience, along with social media planning and delivery experience.

You will be responsible for producing social media analytics and for exploring and potentially delivering work on social media platforms not currently utilised by the Trust.

You will have excellent listening skills and also be able to constructively challenge colleagues when creating website, intranet or social media copy, to ensure any copy published is accurate and written in a way that the intended audience fully understands.

You will also support the Communications Manager with media relations activities as required.

This is a full-time role, based just outside Birmingham city centre (One Avenue Road, Aston), which is just 15 minutes from the heart of Birmingham's shops and cultural venues.

We offer flexible working arrangements, provide an excellent learning and development offer, and will provide you with the necessary tools to deliver the job effectively.
