Site Reliability Engineer - Fully remote - UK wide - up to 75k


We are working with one of our award winning clients within the iGaming space, they work with multiple companies across the gambling, national lottery and betting industry.


They're looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the IT operations department, the role will involve building, maintaining and enhancing environments, in addition, you will be providing support to their internal teams and clients.


Key skills:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies: AWS, Azure and Kubernetes
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Linux
  • Experience of IAC tools preferably Terraform
  • Practical experience of automation and configuration tools preferably Ansible
  • Working knowledge of project management tools, JIRA
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and source control systems
  • Good communication and planning skills
  • Ability to work well as both part of a team and independently, be selfmotivated to deliver projects to deadlines

Beneficial

  • CCNA or demonstrable knowledge of Cisco equipment and TCP networking
  • Administration of communication tools: Office 365, Slack
  • Supporting company network infrastructure (Cisco Switches, Firewalls and WAPs)

Main responsibilities:


  • Administration of cloud technologies
  • AWS, Azure and Kubernetes
  • Working directly with clients to help investigate issues raised and delivering fixes within agreed SLAs
  • Documenting support and configuration information on their internal knowledge base and documentation published to their clients
  • Supporting the development teams in a DevOps capacity, building and maintaining their development, test and staging platforms
  • Supporting company production facilities both cloud and physical data centres
  • Proactively monitoring systems through their alerting and logging tools
  • Managing backup and data security
