Description

Cherwell District Council is looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer or Environmental Health Technical Officer to help grow its small but experienced Housing Standards Team.


In this role you will work as part of the team to carry out housing inspection and enforcement to drive up housing standards across the district.

This will include proactive and reactive interventions, HHSRS inspections and HMO enforcement, mandatory HMO licensing, and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards enforcement.


You will also provide expert advice and guidance to landlords, tenants, and homeowners, and assist in administering grants and loans so we can help the most vulnerable households in the district.
