We are searching for a Head of Operations for an exciting missiong driven B2C start up in health space.

This person will need both supply chain/logistics experience AND manufacturing experience and a strong ability to form relationships with people at all levels of the business.

You will be hiring and training operational staff whilst rolling out process changes.

As Head of Operations you will take ownership over the continued delivery of customer's orders - from supply chain, to production and maintenance.

Your role will be instrumental to the continued excellence of their operation, helping grow the business. This is a fab opportunity to join an early stage start up and have a huge impact.

Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and management for the production, supply chain and maintenance teams
Ensure they successfully ship all orders day to day, whilst increasing capacity for future growth
Support the timely delivery of new products, working closely with their NPD team
Own, manage and deliver supply chain ensuring we never run out of stock while still optimising for cash flow and stock balance
Own, manage and deliver production ensuring we ship every order on time by managing the 24/7 operation to always have the correct staff, skills and processes in place
Own, manage and deliver maintenance ensuring they always keep production running. Managing the reactive and preventative maintenance work streams including managing critical spares
Develop and drive the Health & Safety culture and processes across the operation
Ensure compliance with their regulatory requirements, working closely with their inhouse Pharmacy team
Encourage and deliver continuous improvement, focussing on increasing resilience, stability and efficiency over time
Own the excel tools and data dashboards used across the teams to ensure we continue to meet our delivery requirements
Ultimately become the expert on our factory management system

Experience:

Experience across both manufacturing and supply chain, fully end to end, from suppliers, to production, packing and logistics.
A strong leader and communicator, with the ability to work with junior and senior stakeholders across the business
A team player who enjoys helping others to develop and thrives in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, where rapid change is the norm
A strong owner who focuses on delivery to achieve results
Positive, energetic and ambitious selfstarter who is looking to take their career to the next level.
Detailoriented and technically minded with deep commercial understanding. You will be inquisitive and confident in the details, whilst understanding the big picture and business financials i.e. Labour cost per order / COGs
Strong Excel skills, confidence in building and maintaining excel models and the ability to deeply analyse any problem or situation
Motivation to become an expert in their Factory management system (i.e product owner)
It would be beneficial to have experience in a regulated industry and balancing the complexities of compliance with the ability to flex and change to support the business rapidly
SQL skills would be advantageous, or the motivation to learn to be able to self serve and work independently to access the data you will need
