We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Early Help Worker role based in Horncastle.

Appropriately qualified applicants should be passionate about delivering effective services and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Applicants need excellent leadership and communication skills along with the confidence to work with partners to manage risk and vulnerability.


The role of Senior Early Help Worker is to provide high quality support and supervision to a team of Early Help Workers, providing day to day leadership.

The role is primarily to maintain management oversight of the work being undertaken with families. You will work with a range of colleagues to improve life opportunities of children and young people.


You will support the continued development of Integrated Children's Services, working closely with professionals from a range of agencies to support children and young people in their communities and promoting the development of evidence-based practice whilst ensuring, wherever possible, that children and young people are supported to remain with their families.


The Team


Working in the East Lindsey Early Help Team, you will manage a team of Early Help Workers and hold management oversight of cases supporting children, young people and families.

The cases will range from Child & Family Assessments, TAC, CIN, CP and CIC.

You will be part of the leadership team supporting practice development and whilst case work is the focus, there are opportunities to take a lead role in supporting areas of work.

You will work closely with Social Care colleagues, and those in Early Years providing a wide range of support to children, young people and families.

This team is committed to supporting families and we are looking for someone who shares this commitment and will bring their knowledge, experience and passion to this role.


What we're looking for:


  • Or a professional qualification in Youth Work (JNC recognised) or Social Work
  • Or a Diploma/Qualification in Careers Guidance or Level 4 in guidance
  • An understanding of the importance of good people management, as well as experience supporting, guiding and mentoring others
  • Knowledge/understanding of child development, adolescent risktaking behaviour and traumainformed approaches
  • Collaborative, committed and motivated, you're a leader who enjoys working with a diverse range of people


The post holders will be required to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role and there is some element of evening and weekend work where cases require it.

There is an expectation that you will work both within the office and from home virtually as required.

_Fluency Duty_:
