This role is fixed term for 18 months


The post holder will provide high quality administrative services to the Windsor Research Unit (WRU) and to the R&D Director, R&D Associate Director and WRU manager by carrying out general office duties, diary management and undertaking some tasks specific to the research study ("Super-D").

The Super-D study is examining a potential new way of treating Alzheimer's disease.

The post holder will be responsible for reviewing patients being seen in the memory clinics to see if any are suitable for the project.

They will provide general support to the team based at the Windsor Research Unit.


This includes liaison with consultants, managers, nursing and other clinical staff, liaison with local and national organisations as necessary for the functioning of the team.

Greet and welcome research participants to the unit, responding to the queries promptly and ensuring their comfort including booking transport to research visits if required.

A high degree of independence, flexibility and initiative will be essential for the post holder. This is a full-time (37.5 hours) post for 18 months.

The postholder will provide a wide-range of general administrative tasks including copy/audio typing, word processing, photocopying, desk-top publishing, arranging meetings, supporting research delivery staff during visits by greeting participants and ensuring refreshments are provided.

Supporting the administrative set up of SUPER-D study visits e.g. reviewing potential participants, printing labels, preparing necessary documentation for the study visit(s) and booking transport.


The postholder will provide diary management to the director and assistant director of research for CPFT and the manager of the Windsor Unit, receiving and processing incoming correspondence and telephone calls ensuring these are dealt with appropriately either by providing a suitable response or by redirecting to a member of the team.


Will deal with outgoing mail in a timely manner, maintain adequate stationery stocks and ensure all office equipment meets the needs of the user.


The postholder will create, develop, and maintain good office systems essential for the smooth running of the SUPER-D study and the team based at the Windsor Research Unit.

Will manage an appointments diary for meetings and make appropriate arrangements as necessary, e.g. booking rooms, organising refreshments, travel arrangements, accommodation etc.
