Description
Age Concern Hampshire provides foot care clinics in venues across the county of Hampshire.

We provide the clients and the venue and engage self-employed Foot Health Practitioners (FHPs) to provide a 6-weekly toenail cut and a basic foot health check for each client.

If the foot health check identifies further treatment required, the practitioner will recommend medical or podiatry attention as appropriate.

Usually clinics run with appointments every 20 minutes and at most clinics, we have a volunteer receptionist who will take payments and deal with rebooking appointments.

Some venues offer clinics every week and some more than once a week depending on client demand. Other venues run clinics once or twice in a 6-week cycle.

Clients pay Age Concern Hampshire for their appointment and on receipt of an invoice, £11.25 from each client's fee is paid to the
FHP.

From this fee,
FHPs need to provide their own PPE, sterilised equipment and cleaning/waste disposal materials for each appointment.
