Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • In conjunction with other Managers you will plan and manage the daily functions of Production.
  • Assist the Marshalling Area Manager to ensure the operating functions in the carcassloading bay run efficiently.
  • Ensure orders are processed expediently and meet customer specifications.
  • Training of operatives to required skills levels.
  • Identify improved production and cost saving methods
  • Ensure all Hygiene, Food Safety, Quality and Health and Safety Rules are enforced and training up to date.
  • Work with and promote Company's Food Safety and Quality System, including HACCP.
  • Take part in Customer led and thirdparty audits.

Qualifications:

Essential Criteria

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar environment.
  • Experience in
    beef and lamb:
  • Ability to work to tight time scales in a safe environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of food Quality, Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and supervisory skills.
  • Willingness to learn & ability to lead and work as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to adapt to change
