Plassey Leisure Park, a family-owned and run company is recruiting for a Head
Greenkeeper.


Nestled in 250 acres of park and woodland in the picturesque Dee Valley, North Wales, our luxury holiday park & golf course is more than just somewhere to stay.

In 1960, the Brookshaw family bought the 247-acre site with new owners Tony and Della taking on 247 acres of farmland.

Della and Tony's son, John, came on board in 1992 and the Plassey has now been passed on to the second generation.

With wife Sarah, John is continuing to run and develop the five-star platinum park.


With exciting plans in the pipeline, Plassey will continue to develop and evolve to meet the needs of the visitors.


Main Purpose of Role


To carry out golf course maintenance duties, ensuring that the golf course is at all times presented in the best possible condition by consistently demonstrating our values-led approach, our customers and colleagues always experience quality interactions and service.


As a key member of the team, you will be crucial in the development of a course maintnence programme and you will be responsible for ensuring the course is presented to our members and guests in the best possible condition and you will also play a leading role in future projects and improvments.

Attention to detail is a must and this culture must be reflected across operation.


Essential Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 3 years experience of working as a head greenkeeper and highly skilled in turf maintenance, drainage management and irrigation operation and management.
  • NVQ 2 or 3 in Sports Turf Maintenance or equivalent.
  • PA1, 2 & 6 Spraying Certificates desirable.
  • Competent in the use of a wide variety of machinery, machine maintenance & management
  • Ability to work on own or within a team.
  • Attention to detail and a can do attitude.
  • To be fully competent in monitoring and maintaining health & safety in the workplace.
  • To support the organisational values and behaviours by being Authentic, Responsible, Open, Passionate and Enterprising.
Working hours: 40 hours per week including some weekends


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
