Claxton are looking to hire a Global Asset Lead on a full time, permanent basis.

Based at their Facility in Aberdeen or Great Yarmouth, the Global Assets Lead is responsible for ensuring that all Claxton's rentable equipment assets, globally, are maintained consistently to a common standard and standard of readiness, meet required domestic and overseas compliance standards all in line with global processes/ procedures and associated documentation.


The role is also responsible for ensuring that correct processes/ procedures and systems are in place so that project equipment requirements are met and documentation packs including spec sheets are available and visible globally for all assets.


Responsible for monitoring and overseeing allocation of equipment, ensuring allocation is managed fairly and transparently, ensuring owned assets are fully utilised to achieve the greatest profitability for Claxton Group whilst ensuring suitable 3rd party equipment meets global standards, documented and available to supplement internal supply as and when required.


This will require the role holder to build excellent working relationships with site General Managers, Site Operations Managers, Site Workshop managers, Supply Chain, Product Leaders, Engineering and QHSE.


Duties

  • Prepare for and attend GRT weekly meetings to address key items for the forthcoming week.
  • Attend the global resourcing call and lead asset related communications. Fill in as Deputy when the VP of Global Resources is unable to host or chair the meeting.
  • Provide detail about the status of assets through the asset utilisation report, asset transfer dashboard and asset performance KPI's for input into EMT (monthly report) to the VP Global Resources.
  • Support the VP Global Resources and the COO and work with the rest of the Global Resources team to develop and implement the Company's strategic plan, and associated objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to provide the business with visibility of rentable assets, their location, status, availability, and assignment to projects. To ensure the assets are deployed for the effective and safe delivery of projects on a global basis.
  • Ensure the asset management systems and processes are effective and fit for purpose to provide assets to the Regions who are operationally and technically competent at operating and maintaining the assets to the required standards.
  • Monitor / audit the systems and processes to ensure they remain effective for the business and liaise with VP Business improvement to lead changes/ updates and roll out to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Optimise the intercompany utilisation of assets, through the asset transfer process and strategic regional equipment placement.
  • Work with site GM's, Ops Managers and Project teams to ensure that assets are deployed to the sites and projects to maximise profitability for the Claxton group and escalate to the VP Global Resources where agreement cannot be reached at site level or where there are capacity issues.
  • Ensure that the appropriate balance between Claxton owned asset utilisation and 3rd party asset utilisation is in place to minimise project direct costs and ensure excellence in project delivery.
  • Ensure the 3rd Party Equipment Evaluation Procedure is deployed and adhered to in all global locations.
  • Liaise with relevant Procurement/ Supply chain personnel to ensure that all thirdparty equipment suppliers are approved and registered on the Claxton Approved Supplier list (ASL) to provide availability of cost effective, high quality and compliant suppliers of equipment to all sites globally.
  • Create reporting matrix to measure asset utilisation.
  • Ensure there is full buyin to the Claxton maintenance and readiness system and processes so that all sites are demonstrating their competence and compliance via audits.
  • Work with GM's and Site Workshop/ Maintenance/ QA managers to strategically review and manage asset maintenance and equipment standards, consolidating and harmonising where necessary.
  • Work with Technical Solutions personnel to ensure that all equipment used in the business is appropriately documented.
  • Ensure that repair and maintenance regimes are standardised across the business where possible.
  • Ensure that asset documentation is centralised, and all supporting documentation is located in the centralized library and that this library links with the asset management ERP system.
