The Company

A 50 year old well established North East software Business are looking to invest into a new Business Development Manager to help grow their thriving team.

Our client offers a construction software offering a route to market for manufacturing companies.


The Role:


  • To drive new sales across the whole company portfolio of products and services available to product manufacturers, with a particular focus on big ticket prospects.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, demonstrations, quotations/contracts and close
  • Cold calling
  • Selfsource sales leads for new business and follow up leads generated internally to ensure new sales targets are achieved.
  • Hit daily/weekly and monthly KPIs
  • Fully understand the customers need, interpret their requirement and effectively relate to the business portfolio and is confident in demonstrating and presenting to key stakeholders.
  • Attend Events

  • Develop a strong sales pipeline to deliver sustained high levels of new sales
  • Secure appointments with customers and prospects and arrange sales visits with them where appropriate.
  • Effective reporting and forecasting on the status of leads.
  • Update CRM
  • Collaborate with other teams
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities to increase revenue and build relationships.
  • Grow your own brand

Person Specification:


  • Has demonstrable experience in a sales/target driven environment and is comfortable selfsourcing leads and cold calling prospects.
