Assistant Accountant (Part Qualified) - Corporate Finance

Basingstoke up to £35 - £40k depending on experience plus bonus, study support, and great benefits.

Butler Rose is proud to be supporting an exciting business with the recruitment of a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join their large global finance team at their HQ in Basingstoke.

This role requires a management accountant with experience of month end and financial reporting across multiple entities.

You'll need to be comfortable working in a busy, high volume, team focused role, and happy to support in areas outside of your dailyduties.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting your team in ensuring timely & accurate financial control, accounting, and reporting activities are in accordance with company policy, performance and quality standards;
Complete balance sheet reconciliations to support reviews with Finance hub managers and business partners;
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
Maintain all financial controls and systems within your role;
Ensure all key tasks are completed to scheduled timelines and in line with accounting policies.
Take ownership of balance sheet accounts and reviews with Finance hub managers.
Preparation of monthly journals working closely with key business partners for the appropriate level of support;
On request run data reports and extract relevant information for use by other employees.
Accurate and timely month end reporting in line with the Finance hub timetable across international legal entities;
Maintain financial controls in accordance with group policies and procedures;
Assist in supporting the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly flash reports in line with the centralised reporting strategy;
Support indirect tax, local tax and adhoc statistical reporting;
Recognize opportunities for process improvement; development and implement proposals for implementation.
Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
