Description

To support the Payroll Manager in the delivery of an efficient and effective payroll function.

This will include managing the processing of three-monthly payrolls and a quarterly payroll for approximately 1800 employees a bureau for approximately 400 employers and 1000 employees.

The role involves checking the accuracy of the payroll output each month, and liaising with HR / Treasurers / Ministers to ensure all monthly variables and correctly processed.

About You

The post holder will demonstrate experience of managing complex multi payroll functions paying 2000+ staff, preferably in a bureau setting They will be an effective leader and understand how to get the best from the people in their team.

They will have strong interpersonal skills that enable them to develop effective relationships outside the finance function.

Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Payroll systems, including integrated HR/Payroll system They will understand what success looks like from the perspective of the 'customer' and be able to implement strategies that deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.

They will also be sympathetic to the ethos of the Methodist Church.
