Support Worker, Wokingham, New Services £22,572.70


We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to compliment our commitment to delivering adult social care to new services for Wokingham Borough Council.


As a Support Worker you will provide high quality person-centred support and care to a wide range of individuals with learning disabilities, in line with CQC requirements and borough policy.


For this role you will work as part of a team to support our customers with daily living skills and activities including personal care and domestic duties, whilst promoting their independence.

You will also support with, and organise activities, outings and recreation.

This role includes responsibility for key working for our customers and working closely with other professionals and family members to ensure health and well-being.


This particular service is responsible for actively enhancing customers lives to become valued members of their community, to develop friendships and relationships, have a life that makes sense to the individual.


Encouraging customers to be able to follow their interests and hobbies, and have the chance to enjoy new experiences working with a can do attitude.

Developing daily living skills - thus ensuring individuals develop independence - breaking tasks down into small manageable steps.

Supporting this for all individuals, but taking the lead where necessary acting as a key worker.


Supporting our customers to have a full life in which they are safe, working in partnership with external professionals contributing to positive behavioural support plans.
