Area Supervisor

GSF is seeking an experienced Cleaning Area Supervisor to work in East London area.


We are an established Cleaning and Support Services company located in the heart of London, with contracts across the south of England and central London.

We are committed to delivering a high-quality standard of service to our clients at all times.

We require an experienced Area Supervisor that can adhere to all the below duties and responsibilities:

Day to day duties:
Plan, coordinate, control and ensure service provision at all times on designated sites.

Ensure compliance with contract budgets and communicate through your Line Manager.

Assess service quality including incoming requests from clients, if applicable, plan, coordinate and control corrective actions.

Control management of HR issues on site and raise disciplinary issues with your Line Manager.

Ensure stock control budgets are adhered to and order rechargeable and consumables when required.


Report all accidents accordingly to GSF and client, then ensure appropriate investigations and documentation is completed and implement further actions if required.

Motivate and lead subordinated employees.

Train staff as and when required and make sure all documentation is completed.
Always work within client and GSF Health and Safety legislation.

Comply with company's procedures and requirements at all times.

Report all machinery faults to Line Manager.


Responsibilities:

Carry out Area Supervisor's duties in accordance with job description, specification and Line Manager's requirements.

Comply with Health and Safety requirements at all times.

Complete and manage time sheets to the labour budget, monthly and accurately.

When authorizing holiday request, adhere to all staff levels at all times following company's policies and procedures.


Ensure all operatives working on site under GSF have all relevant documentation and training documents completed before works commence at all times.

Ensure all periodic cleans and also all contracts within the site are adhered to as per the schedule. Liaise with your Line Manager to arrange specialist cleaning if required.

Ensure all timescales are met at all times


Liaising with:
Area Managers, site Supervisors, Mobile Specialist Cleaners, Clients, HR, Accounts, Health and Safety Manager and Branch Managers.

The correct individual would be dealing with all the above in a fast pace environment day to day.

In addition, the Area Supervisor will continuously strive to find new ways to improve efficiency and quality of service in the safest way possible on the allocated site and always strive to maximise profits at all times.


Essential:
1 year experience preferred in the cleaning industry within a similar role

Knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.

A practical and hands on attitude is essential

Confident with Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations

Highest quality standards and customer service are key to this individual

Enjoys learning new aspects of the role and looking to progress within the Industry.

A logical thinker, able to dissect and resolve problems that arise.

Excellent communication skills at all levels both internal/external.

Exceptional time keeping and attitude to flexibility.

Physically fit to carry out general duties.

Excellent organisation skills is a must

Excellent attention to details required, must be hard working, reliable, punctual, trustworthy and confident.

Able to manage your own time day to day is essential.

Full UK driving license and own car to be able to travel between 3 sites.

Enhance DBS check.


Desirable:
Spanish/Portuguese language

A BICS or other cleaning qualification

Computer skills
